What Does the following X-ray Report Indicate?

I injured my knee yesterday in a freak incident climbing stairs. I went to ER last evening and got an exray. I would like definitions of joint space narrowing involving the medial femoral tibial and patellofemoral joint spaces. Mild chondrocalcinosis, vascular calcifications. A small joint effusion. Perhaps you could show me a picture of a knee showing the areas of damage. The exray showed a great amount of arthritis, as I expected. I have an appointment of July 12 with my orthopedist. I am just wanting definitions of medical terms. Thank you. Leta Richardson

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The X-ray is showing features of arthritis. Arthritis is an age related disorder and it can not be fully treated. It can be managed by physiotherapy to reduce pain and to increase range of motion.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
